Medical massage is locally or generally practised treatment on the demand of the doctors for the patients’ diseases. Duration, style and location of the massage treatment are standardised by the masseurs and the doctors’ evaluation of the procedure. Initially, positioning the patient according to his/her problem, medical massage aims to reduce the spasticity and to regain the joint spacing by means of the various massage techniques such as euffleurage, petrissage, friction, stretching, tapotement etc.
